Another five Pulaski County residents have died from COVID-19. Those deaths occurred between November 10 and November 24, according to Wednesday’s update from the Indiana Department of Health. That brings the county’s total COVID-19 death toll up to 15.

Much of the state’s COVID-19 map is now in the orange, amid record numbers of new cases and hospitalizations. Locally, Starke and Pulaski counties are both coded orange, while Marshall County is the only one in the area to stay yellow.

Miller’s Merry Manor of Plymouth has now had 19 of its residents die after testing positive for COVID-19. The facility has had a total of 61 resident COVID-19 cases, according to the latest numbers from the Indiana State Department of Health. Forty-one of those were from tests taken on July 3. Thirty-seven staff members at the facility have also tested positive.

The Indiana State Department of Health continues to revise its list of COVID-19 cases in long-term care facilities. The state has asked facilities to report their historical case data from March 1 through July 14.
