Plymouth Board of Works to Consider Final Version of Pavement Asset Management Plan
Plans for road maintenance in the City of Plymouth will be considered during tonight’s board of works meeting. Earlier this month, City Engineer Rick Gaul gave board members a preliminary version of a pavement asset management plan. Tonight, he’ll present the final plan for 2017, as well as a five-year plan.
Marshall Commissioners to Receive Quarterly Reports, Insurance Update

Plymouth Airport Manager Discusses Weather Station, Other Upgrades
A weather station may finally be up and running at Plymouth Municipal Airport in the near future. Airport Manager Dave Lattimer told the Plymouth Common Council Monday the AWOS III weather station is in place on the south side of the runway and the related computer equipment has been delivered. Weather Station Coming to Plymouth Airport
Plymouth Municipal Airport is one step closer to having its own weather station. On Tuesday, the Plymouth Aviation Commission accepted a bid from Michiana Contracting to purchase and install an AWOS III weather station for a cost of just under $150,000. Continue reading
Plymouth Board of Works to Consider Wastewater Contractor Recommendation
The Plymouth Board of Works will soon choose a contractor for its Wastewater Treatment Plan improvement project. Utility superintendent Donnie Davidson is expected to recommend a company to do the construction work during tonight’s Board of Works meeting. Plymouth BZA Members Approve Monopole Construction
The Plymouth Board of Zoning Appeals discussed a request to place a 164-foot monopole communications tower at 12091 Plymouth Goshen Trail.
Mike Howley represents Central States Tower and co-applicant Verizon Wireless and presented information to the quorum of BZA members on Tuesday night. Verizon Wireless officials have paperwork filed to construct a tower on the Read Fields, LTD property near U.S. 30 and U.S. 31. They want to fill a gap in cell phone and wireless coverage for businesses, homeowners and industry in that area. The capacity level would also improve. Four antennas could be placed on the tower. It would not need to be lighted.
