Two recent high-school graduates are each heading off to college with 5,000 dollars thanks to a scholarship opportunity provided by the South Bend Cubs. The local recipients of the scholarship are Mattie Reese, a softball player from John Glenn High School and Andrew Samuelson, a baseball player from LaPorte High School.
Bicentennial Torchbearers Announced
The list of torchbearers taking part in the Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay has officially been unveiled. Lt. Gov. Eric Holcomb and the Indiana Office of Tourism Development announced the names during a press conference Wednesday at the Indiana Statehouse. Continue reading
