Pursuit Ends With Arrests, Drugs Discovered in Car

An Etna Green man faces numerous charges after leading Marshall County Police on a high-speed chase through two counties last night. The incident started around 8 p.m. when an officer tried to pull a blue Ford Focus over for expired plates in the area of 18B Road and State Road 331. Traffic Stop Leads to Meth Arrest

A traffic stop for failure to use a turn signal ends with a trip to jail. A Marshall County Police Officer pulled a vehicle driven by Yvette Hanselman, 41, over on 10th Road and Lincoln Highway around 9:30 last night. Hanselman’s driver’s license was suspended prior, according to the arrest report. Officers allegedly found methamphetamine in her car as well. She was booked into the Marshall County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended prior.

 

Early Morning Fight Lands Man in Jail

Formal charges are pending against the man accused of hitting and biting another man at a Bremen residence early this morning. Officers from the Marshall County Police Department responded to 1426 Jute Road in Bremen at 12:43 a.m. for a report of a fight in progress. A man told them Larry W. Baltes, 40, had hit him in the face and bitten his upper thigh. The victim refused medical treatment, according to a news release. Baltes was arrested on preliminary charges of battery resulting in moderate injury, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
