Marshall County Police Investigating Residential Burglary
The Marshall County Police Department is investigating a recent burglary at a home in the 17000 block of 12th Road. Sometime between 6 and 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 someone broke into the residence and stole two diamond rings and currency, according to the property owner. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Marshall County Police Department.
Knox Residents Injured in Marshall County Head-On Collision
A Knox woman was flown to a South Bend hospital Thursday night after a head-on collision in Marshall County. It happened on 9th Road west of Sycamore Road just before 10 p.m. EDT. Police say a vehicle driven by Brittany Roxey, 26, of Knox was eastbound behind a car driven by Brittany Orr, 26, of Grovertown, pulled out to pass and hit a sport-utility vehicle driven by David Holdread, 51, of Knox, head-on. Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest
A Friday night traffic stop in Marshall County for an equipment violation ended with a trip to jail after officers learned the driver was wanted in another county. A Marshall County Police Patrolman pulled a vehicle driven by Preston Smith over on Lincoln Highway near Tulip Road at 7:19 p.m. Smith was driving without having received a license, according to a police department news release. He was also wanted on a St. Joseph County warrant for sexual misconduct.
Three Injured in Argos Crash
Authorities in Marshall County are investigating a crash involving two cars and a tractor-trailer that saw two people airlifted to hospitals in South Bend. It happened around 9 p.m. last night on State Road 10 at U.S. 31, according to our reporting partners at WNDU-TV. A third person was transferred by ground to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth. The semi driver refused medical treatment.
Marshall County Police Investigating Vehicle Theft
Authorities in Marshall County are searching for a stolen vehicle. It was taken just after 5 p.m. last night from a home in the 500 block of Thorn Road. The red 1998 Chevrolet Suburban bears the registration VPR565. It has some rusting on the back end and underneath the rear doors and a white fish symbol on the rear window. Additionally a hole in the floorboard is covered with a piece of wood. Anyone with information about the vehicle’s whereabouts is asked to contact the Marshall County Police Department at 574-936-3187.
Early Morning Traffic Stop Leads to Four Arrests
An early morning traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 in Marshall County landed four people in jail on drug charges. An officer with the Marshall County Police Department pulled a vehicle driven by Jerald Standifer of Bremen over for an equipment violation around 1:45 a.m. A news release indicates he was driving on a suspended ID card only. Officers also found items associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine inside the vehicle, according to the news release, and arrested Standifer and three passengers. Standifer, Caleb Z. Hollett, Ethan S. Hollett and Samantha E. Personette, all of Argos, face charges of dealing/delivering/manufacturing methamphetamine and possession of precursors. Bond is pending judicial review.
