Apply for a Habitat for Humanity Home at the Culver Sand Hill Farm Development

Sand Hill Farm Developer Kevin Berger recently reached out to community members to remind them about an exciting opportunity through the Habitat for Humanity of Marshall County.

The Sand Hill Farm development will be providing a site for a Habitat for Humanity home and the organization is still looking for a local family to fill it.

Officials are anticipating that the site will be made available later this year and construction will most likely begin in 2019. Interested parties are encouraged to apply now as they need to assess whether or not they fulfill certain eligibility requirements. Continue reading

Looking for FAFSA Assistance? Don’t Miss College Goal Sunday at Plymouth High School

College-bound students looking for financial assistance will need to fill out a FAFSA and unfortunately, many people find the process time consuming or confusing.

However, there’s no need to stress, as free financial aid assistance is just a few weeks away with College Goal Sunday.

At 2 p.m. ET on February 25th financial aid professionals will be volunteering at 40 sites across the state, assisting Hoosier students with filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This year’s nearest College Goal Sunday site is Plymouth High School. Continue reading

Help Combat Childhood Hunger By Sponsoring a Food Service Program This Summer

The Indiana Department of Education is seeking participants for the 2018 Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Rural areas such as Starke, Marshall and Pulaski Counties, are especially in need of services to help combat childhood hunger.

This program provides funding assistance to meal service sites in low-income areas where children may lack access to good nutrition during the summer months. Continue reading
