Plymouth City Councilman Jeff Houin spoke on behalf of the Long-Term Flood Recovery Committee during last Monday’s city council meeting.
According to City Attorney Sean Surrisi, Houin stated that after private insurance and FEMA funds are applied to relief efforts, there is still an additional $450,000 that is needed to help cover repair costs. The Marshall County Council members considered a request to appropriate up to $25,000 in funds to assist those homeowners recovering from the February flood event.
