The Culver School Board has decided to move ahead with requesting formal proposals for energy-savings upgrades. Board members have heard presentations from a few companies. Last week, they decided to take the next step by advertising a request for qualifications from guaranteed energy savings providers.
Teacher contracts will be up for approval when the Culver School Board meets tonight. Members will vote on the ratification of the 2018-2019 collective bargaining agreement, according to the advance meeting agenda.

Fire Chief Terry Wakefield told Culver Town Council members this week that he’s been working for a long time to update the lighting to include LED lights. He said the cost for the 51 lights needed for the project is $7,896.30. NIPSCO will review the work and reimburse the town $80 per light. He said it works with the lighting package they have through NIPSCO.
