Project Kindness to Host First Responders Appreciation Event This Sunday

As a way to extend gratitude to the members of our community who dedicate their time to protecting and saving lives, Project Kindness will be hosting their annual first responders appreciation event this weekend.

Community members are encouraged to bring children of all ages to the Plymouth Fire Department on Sunday, January 28th from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. The event will kick-off with making some crafts and thank you cards in the first half hour. Continue reading

Kid’s Day Event at Marshall County Historical Society Museum

In order to give local children something to do during their final week of winter break, the Marshall County Historical Society Museum is offering a free, kid-friendly special event today from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Interactive model trains will be running in the Disney-themed train room from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. In the community room, kids can play winter games and make crafts in the community room.  Continue reading

Santa Claus is Coming to Town a Little Sooner than You’d Think

Santa will be visiting Plymouth a whole month early! On Saturday, November 25th Santa will arrive on a fire truck during the Holiday Parade at 6 p.m.

The parade will be on Michigan Street, starting at Adams Street and ending in River Park Square. Santa will make his way to River Park Square for the tree lighting ceremony. The Park Department will perform a light show after the Christmas tree is lit. When the light show is complete, Santa will be at the Marshall County Museum for photos. Model trains will be running at the museum starting at 11 a.m.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be available all evening. Grab the whole family and come out for a night of festivities featuring Old Saint Nick as the guest of honor.

Escape Modern Society at the 7th Annual Rentown Old Fashion Days!

Does the phrase “family friendly blast from the past” appeal to you? If so, you have to check out the 7th annual Rentown Old Fashion Days. The event will feature 55 to 60 vendors selling various foods, crafts and other items. Proceeds from the event go toward Rolling Meadows, the Amish traditional school in Bremen. Today kicks off at 8 am and things will finish up around 4 p.m. Continue reading
