The annual Falloween Fest held at John Glenn High School is right around the corner.
From Friday, September 21st through Sunday, September 23rd, a number of area organizations, churches and John Glen school groups will sponsor this weekend-long event in Walkerton. Many organizations raise funds for student scholarships and over the last few years, about $250,000 has been raised to assist more than 200 students.
Event organizers describe Falloween as a family-oriented festival with a variety of activities including two parades, a midway of amusement park rides, tasty food, special music events, fireworks, craft vendors and tractor pulls as well as a petting zoo, a giant garage sale and a 5K run. Four local high school marching bands will be heading down to Indianapolis tomorrow for the Indiana State School Music Association Open Class Semi-State Marching Band Festival.
Autumn is officially upon us and that means that it is once again time for the Falloween Fest at John Glenn High School in Walkerton. This annual festival kicks off today and runs all weekend. The festival features a variety food and crafts vendors as well as fun activities for the whole family.
Teachers Credit Union and the John Glenn School Corporation are working together to provide long-term resources to the students and families they serve. The partnership includes the addition of TCU signage to the John Glenn High School gym. It’s expected to be unveiled Feb. 12th.
