Animal-Lovers of All Ages are Urged to Attend this One-of-a-Kind Educational Safety Program
Tomorrow at 10:30 am Eastern the Culver-Union Township Public Library is hosting a program that uses music and canine companions to promote safety education. The Kasey Program uses black Labrador Retrievers to teach children practical safety methods in a memorable way. Children learn the ‘stop, drop and roll’ routine along with other safety tips dealing with fire and animal safety. Continue reading

Just in time for LakeFest, the Culver Union Township Public Library has switched out the book on its StoryWalk. Visitors to the lakefront are invited to start reading their way through the town park at the pedestrian walk on Lake Maxinkuckee at the end of Washington Street. Culver Library Dedicates StoryWalk
Families are encouraged to take a stroll through the Culver Town Park and enjoy a story. Officials with the Culver-Union Township Public Library cut the ribbon on the StoryWalk along Lake Maxinkuckee on Saturday. The idea originated in Vermont. Culver-Union Township Public Library Youth Services Director Jill Gavlick says the library board and staff was looking for a special way to celebrate the centennial and came across the idea by doing a Google search.
