
Indiana is offering help for renters who’ve lost income due to COVID-19. Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority Executive Director Jacob Sipe announced Wednesday that qualifying renters will be able to get up to $500 a month for four months, to help with past or ongoing rent payments.

NIPSCO gas bills would still go up but not by quite as much, under an updated request with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. The company says residential gas customers now paying $50 per month could expect to see their monthly bill increase to $58.10, rather than $59.80, as originally proposed.
More than 25 years have gone by since NIPSCO has increased natural gas base rates, but that may change.
