Two local waterways will be getting some upgrades, thanks to grant funding from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. The latest round of Lake and River Enhancement program grants includes funds for projects benefiting Lake Maxinkuckee and the Tippecanoe River.
Hoosier Hunters Record Near Record Turkey Harvest
Indiana posted its third-highest spring turkey harvest on record in 2017. DNR officials say hunters statewide harvested more than 13,000 wild turkeys. That’s an increase of 7-percent from the 12,081 turkeys taken last spring. Continue reading
