Tonight’s the Night – The 3rd Annual Taste of Marshall County is Finally Here

The event your taste buds have been waiting for since last year is finally here. The third annual Taste of Marshall County will run from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. tonight. Plymouth will be bustling this evening with exciting opportunities that will appeal to the whole family.

In addition to the variety of foods that vendors will be selling throughout the event, there will be activities geared toward children and for individuals 21 and up, there will be a beer and wine garden. Continue reading

Kid’s Day Event at Marshall County Historical Society Museum

In order to give local children something to do during their final week of winter break, the Marshall County Historical Society Museum is offering a free, kid-friendly special event today from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Interactive model trains will be running in the Disney-themed train room from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. In the community room, kids can play winter games and make crafts in the community room.  Continue reading

Usher in Autumn with John Glenn’s Annual Falloween Festival

Autumn is officially upon us and that means that it is once again time for the Falloween Fest at John Glenn High School in Walkerton. This annual festival kicks off today  and runs all weekend. The festival features a variety food and crafts vendors as well as fun activities for the whole family.

The Skerbeck Carnival starts up at 4 p.m. and will stay open until 11 p.m. The craft vendors fair in the auxiliary gymnasium will run from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The grand parade, sponsored by Walkerton Chamber of Commerce, commences at 5:30 p.m. and will traverse the streets of Walkerton and end at the fairgrounds on Georgia Street. Escape Modern Society at the 7th Annual Rentown Old Fashion Days!

Does the phrase “family friendly blast from the past” appeal to you? If so, you have to check out the 7th annual Rentown Old Fashion Days. The event will feature 55 to 60 vendors selling various foods, crafts and other items. Proceeds from the event go toward Rolling Meadows, the Amish traditional school in Bremen. Today kicks off at 8 am and things will finish up around 4 p.m. Continue reading
