Marshall Commissioners Recommend Funding Elevator Upgrades

Aging elevators at the Marshall County Courthouse are prompting the maintenance department to recommend a fix.

The Courthouse in Plymouth has two elevators, north and south, that have been a mixture of benefits and problems for the maintenance crew. A company is contracted to help maintain the elevators, which has advised the elevators are aging past their usefulness.

Marshall County Sees Insurance Premium Increase for Multiple Policies

The Marshall County government has decided to continue with the same companies for property and casualty insurance.

During Monday morning’s Marshall County Commissioners meeting, three representatives of Gibson Insurance made the recommendation and explained several of the changes planned for the coming year.

Town Officials Request Meeting with Marshall County Over Dispatch Costs

The Marshall County Commissioners reviewed community contract costs for 911 Dispatch services, but a communication mix-up caused quite a stir with Town officials.

The contracts were set-out in an attempt to define how computer systems and operations for the new system will work. The costs for paying that service were recommended to be split depending on the percentage of calls received.
