During the regular meeting in July, the Bourbon Town Council approved a fund raiser request made by the Triton Music Department to use the employee parking lot at the Street Garage on Center Street to hold a car wash in August. The date was not reported during the meeting.

The Bourbon Town Council approved Francis Berkey’s request for financial support for the Bourbon Summer Fest Parade in the amount of $220 for awards. President Ward Byers confirmed that funds from the Tourism Bureau would be used. The Bourbon Summer Fest is held the second weekend of every August.

The Bourbon Fire Department will be hosting the annual “Summerfest” on Saturday, August 11th and Sunday August 12th.
When Bourbon Town Council members met earlier this month, Fire Chief Mike Chapman alerted them about the dates for Summerfest and stated that a fireworks display will be held the evening of August 11th.
Chief Chapman asked the council members if they would like to make a donation toward the fireworks on behalf of the town. Continue reading
