Continue readingDeclining enrollment at the Plymouth Community School Corporation has led to a slightly lower cash balance in the corporation’s General Fund. During Tuesday’s board of finance meeting, Business Manager Kandi Tinkey said the school corporation ended 2017 with roughly $3.4 million in its General Fund reserves.
The Plymouth School Board will consider a few start-of-the-year items when it meets tonight. Board members are scheduled to reorganize, set their pay for the year, and approve their 2018 meeting schedule. Various appointments will be considered, as well as the renewal of the school board’s contract with attorney Jeff Houin.
The Plymouth School Board reorganized for 2017 Tuesday, with one member reappointed to a full four-year term. Robin Cupka was first appointed to the school board back in November, taking over from Jennifer Sickmiller as the City of Plymouth’s representative. Continue reading
