Culver Town Council to Hold Public Hearings Tonight

The Culver Town Council members will hold public hearings tonight on several different topics.

A public hearing concerning the annexation of the five contiguous parcels at 17664 State Road 17 and 19456 State Road 10 will be held as well as a public hearing for the rezoning of those parcels to a Planned Unit Development. The second reading of the annexation ordinance will be considered along with the first reading of the rezoning ordinance in this matter tonight.

Marshall County Commissioners Receive Annexation Notice

Culver Town Manager Jonathan Leist was before the Marshall County Commissioners last week to notify them of an annexation petition on five contiguous parcels totaling 71 acres at 17664 State Road 17 and 19456 State Road 10 in Culver owned by Thomas Beste. A rezoning request for a proposed Planned Unit Development (PUD) project is also up for consideration.

Bremen Town Council to Consider Property Annexation

The Bremen Town Council is considering annexing property into the city limits for an upcoming industrial expansion project.

Bremen Director of Operations Trend Weldy said the property is north of town between the U.S. 6 bypass and the town.

“There are about five parcels of property we’re talking about annexing and that’s coming up in the very near future,” said Weldy. “One of our big industrial companies has purchased some land there and we just want to incorporate all of that into the Town of Bremen.”

The town council is likely to have a proposed annexation agreement at a meeting in November.

Culver Begins Process for Voluntary Annexation

culver-town-hallThe Town of Culver is preparing to annex several acres of land following a voluntary petition filed by the landowner.

Annexation was considered during Tuesday night’s Town Council meeting where the 13 acres is concerned. The land is situated in the 500 block of West Jefferson Street in Culver. The town now has a lengthy process to undergo prior to finalization.
