
Driving while suspended arrests
PLYMOUTH — On Nov. 22, at 10:45 a.m., Plymouth Police Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 30 just east of Pioneer Dr., where the registered owner was reported to have a driving status of suspended.
It was found that the driver, 36-year-old Christopher Montgomery, of Plymouth, was in a driving license status of Suspended-Misdemeanor. Montgomery was taken into custody and transported to Marshall County Jail, where he was booked and lodged for Driving While Suspended.
PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Friday, Nov. 14, Officers with the Plymouth Police Department stopped a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 30.
Upon speaking with the driver, it was determined that Michael Steven Shell III, 26, of Merrillville, was operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Shell was transported and lodged into the Marshall County Jail, and charged with Driving While Suspended – Prior.
Habitual traffic violator
PLYMOUTH — On Nov. 12, at 11:17 a.m., a vehicle being driven by Michael Loftus, 43 of Plymouth, was stopped for a traffic infraction.
Loftus was found to have a license status of HTV. He was lodged at the Marshall County Jail.
Traffic stop brings possession arrest
PLYMOUTH — On the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 23, Plymouth Police paced a vehicle at 67 miles per hour in a posted 50 miles per hour zone.
While on the traffic stop, it was determined that Layla Clarice Abra, 22, of California, had never obtained a valid driver’s license. While taking inventory of the vehicle to be towed, suspected Marijuana was located inside the vehicle.
Abra was transported and lodged into the Marshall County jail, and charged with Operating a Vehicle Without Ever Obtaining a License and Possession of Marijuana.
Arrest for OWI
PLYMOUTH — On Nov. 14 at approximately 9:30 a.m., Plymouth Police officers were made aware of a possible impaired driver traveling eastbound on Hoham Dr.
The vehicle was located traveling southbound on Western Ave and was observed driving into the right shoulder and across the center lane multiple times. Plymouth Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at Western Ave and North St.
The driver of the vehicle, 51-year-old Eric Reid, of Argos, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Reid was found to be operating with a blood alcohol content of .360, more than four times the legal limit. Reid was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked and charged with Operating while Intoxicated with a Prior Conviction and Operating with a BAC of .15% or greater.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
