PLYMOUTH – William E. Pietsch Sr. passed away on Sunday May 9, 2021 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Plymouth Hospital while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on December 10, 1935 in Mishawaka to the late Earl and Nellie (Lute) Pietsch and was 85 years-old at the time of his death.
Bill was a retired Tool Designer with South Bend Lathe and lived in the area most of his life. On August 11, 1974 in New Carlisle, he married the love of his life, the late Sharon L. Hazen and together they spent 43 wonderful years together. He was a member of the 700 Club and was devoted to serving and worshiping the Lord. Most of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.
Bill is survived by seven children Jenine Parsons of Elkhart, Yvonne (Alfredo) Amposta of California, Celeste Fansler of North Liberty, William E. (Janet) Pietsch Jr. of Knox, Pamela Garland of Plymouth, Angela (Mark) Leed of Florida, and Benjamin (Shanda) Pietsch of Plymouth; 23 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife; one brother; and one sister.
Funeral Services will be at 1:00 CDT Monday May 17, 2021 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. There will be a Visitation held from 11:00 to 1:00 CDT Monday May 17, also at the Funeral Home.
