Peggy Jean Ernsberger, 92, of Wakarusa, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 1:38 am, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in Goshen Hospital. Peggy was born on November 14, 1925, the daughter of Kenneth and Lucile (Norris) Fisher. She married Eugene Ernsberger. After his passing, she married Carl Ernsberger and they were married 61 years before he passed away on January 10, 2016.
She is survived by seven children, Kathleen Ernsberger of Warner Robbins, GA, Elizabeth Berger of Nappanee, IN, Jackie (Steve) Hunsberger of Wakarusa, Dianna (Pat) Riley of Ft. Wayne, Ken (Janice) Ernsberger of Bremen, Carla Yoder of Niles, MI, and Cindy (Ron) Korba of Peru, IN; 20 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. She was a charter member of the First Baptist Church of Bremen and graduated from Bremen High School. She enjoyed her family most of all (her life verse was 3 John 4: “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth”).
She had a variety of interests: music, sewing, reading, traveling, church activities, being a clown for Christian Ministry, and belonging to the Red Hat Society. She loved people and people loved her. She was a very gracious lady. “Her children rise up and call her blessed!” –Proverbs 31:28 Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm (noon), Friday, February 23, 2018 in First Baptist Church, 414 W. Lincoln St., Bremen. Pastor Nathan Bate will officiate.
