Owen Michael Abbott, 13, of Winamac, IN passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in Plymouth, IN as the result of a school bus accident. Owen was born on May 2, 2005, in Winamac to Dean Abbott, Jr. and Britni Weldon.
Owen enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and playing sports. He was a member of the Pulaski County 4H and was active in the shooting sports club. He played baseball for Star City Little League and was on the All-Star team every year.
Owen was currently a student at Winamac Middle School where he was a member of the football team. Owen also enjoyed playing with his toy cars and playing Fortnite. Like so many teenage boys, Owen loved tractors, trucks and semis as well as playing backyard football with his friends and brothers (Parker and Casen).
Owen is greatly loved by his family who will always remember his sweet smile, complete with dimples and freckles. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM EST Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at the Winamac Church of the Heartland with Pastor Heath Hiatt officiating.
Visitation will be from 2-8 PM EST Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Winamac Church of the Heartland and two hours prior to services at the church on Tuesday.
Burial will take place at McKinley Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Winamac, IN.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
