Linda Joan Cronkhite, 57, of Knox, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 after battling a long illness. She was born January 26, 1962, in Greencastle, Indiana, to the late Dale and Reba (Randel) Cronkhite.
Cremation will take place. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. (E.S.T.), Saturday, December 21, 2019 at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, 1225 W. Jefferson St., Plymouth, Indiana 46563.

Linda graduated in 1980 from North Judson San Pier High School. During her high school career, she was known as a star basketball player, helping her team receive Sectional Championship. She held three records in track and field, in which she held up until a few years ago. Linda had a long-standing record in shot put making 37 feet in 1978. Linda previously worked for Aker/Maxx for 16 years.
She was a member of Knox WOTM Chapter 633, where she earned various degrees, she later transferred to the Plymouth WOTM. Linda was also a member of American Legion Post 131, Knox, where she often played bingo.
Linda enjoyed playing cards and traveling but especially enjoyed spending time with her 13 grandchildren. She went by the nickname “Pound Puppy” and grew up with the name, “Hot Dog.”
On June 18, 2017, in Cicero, New York, she married her loving and dear wife, Sheila Marie (Cullen) Clark, after 16 ½ years together. They cherished a total of 18 years of making memories.
Surviving are her wife, Sheila Marie Clark of Knox; four step children, Adam Reyes, Jackie Clark, Kristen (Thomas) Prater and Richard Clark; thirteen grandchildren; loving in-laws, Thomas and Jackie Mallette; four brothers, Robert (Barbara) Patterson, Jerry (Lois) Patterson and Joe and Jim Cronkhite; several nieces, nephews and cousins; her beloved cat, Frankie Clark.
