Plymouth School Board Offers Stipend for AP and Dual Credit Teachers

Plymouth School CorpThe Plymouth School Board has decided to incentivize some of its teachers to obtain greater levels of education.

Two years ago, the Indiana General Assembly devised rules allowing salary increases for teachers teaching AP and Dual Credit courses. The catch is the teacher overseeing the dual credit courses must possess a Master’s Degree and undergo 18 hours of graduate coursework in that subject by 2020 to receive the stipend.

Marshall County Approves EMA Communications Plan

news-2The Marshall County EMA will leave a few things as they are, but update a few other items in its Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.

A discussion took place Monday morning when Emergency Management Agency Director Clyde Avery approached the Marshall County Commissioners. Several incidences over the past six months required the preparation of “After-Action” reports.

Argos Requests Assistance While Fiber Optic Upgrades Are Completed

argos-logoThe Town of Argos is planning better access to broadband for its businesses and residents, but is requesting a bit of financial assistance.

Jim Burroughs is the Utility, Park, and Street Superintendent for the Town. He says the community in the southern portion of Marshall County has been working to address a dead space for high-speed internet connectivity.

Reinstated Law Requires Drivers to Move Vehicles after Property Damage Crashes

 
 

Indiana drivers will soon be required to move their vehicles out of the roadway after a property damage crash. Starting July 1, if a vehicle involved in an accident comes to a stop in the travel lanes of a public roadway, the driver will be required to move it as soon as possible to a location close to the accident but out of the way of traffic.
