On Dec. 7, at 1:37 p.m. ET, a Plymouth Police Department officer was traveling northbound on Michigan Street passing Klinger Street. The officer saw a blue Chevy Impala drive out of the entrance drive to the Northgate Mobile Home Park. Police say the driver drove straight across the southbound lanes and into the median area to turn northbound onto Michigan Street.
The driver of the Impala continued to turn into the officer’s lane causing him to have to brake quickly.
A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver then slowed down and began changing into the driving lane, almost side-swiping the vehicle that was beside the officer.
It was found that the driver, Jimmy Lamuru-Rodriguez, 22 of Louisville, KY, was unlicensed and had never obtained a driver’s license, according to the report. He was taken to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for operating a motorized vehicle without ever receiving a license.
Suspects are considered innocent, unless and until proven guilty.
