PLYMOUTH — On March 19, 2026, Plymouth Detective Derek Workman went to an address on Fairbanks Ave. for a follow-up

on a theft investigation.
Information had identified Cody Brown, 41, of Plymouth, as a possible suspect. Detective Workman met with Brown, who admitted to the theft and still had the stolen property in his possession.
When Workman tried to take Brown into custody, Brown physically pulled away from Workman and attempted to barricade himself inside his house.
Additional officers arrived on scene, and Brown was taken into custody. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on charges of Resisting Law Enforcement and Theft.
Suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
