On Feb. 2 at 9:17 p.m. ET, Officers with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop for failure to move over for an emergency vehicle on the side of the road. The officer was on a traffic stop with another vehicle when the vehicle failed to move over and came close to the officer’s patrol car mirror.
The officer got back in his patrol car, quickly caught up to the vehicle, and stopped the vehicle on U.S. 30 west of Michigan Street exit.
The driver, Alexis Herrera Macias, 35, of Chicago, was determined to never have had a driver’s license.
K9 Officer Vinson and his partner Castor arrived on the scene and conducted a free-air sniff.
Herrera Macias was taken into custody, and transported to Marshall County Jail.
Suspects are innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
