On Feb. 5, a traffic stop for an infraction was initiated on a vehicle being driven by Chad H. Jackson, 38, of Wabash.
Police say Jackson fled the scene and led officers on a short pursuit until his engine suffered a catastrophic failure. Jackson was taken into custody and was lodged at the Marshall County Jail for preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle and driving while suspended with a prior conviction.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
