Driving while Intoxicated

On Jan. 28 at 2:30 a.m. ET, Plymouth Police Department officers observed a speeding vehicle southbound on Michigan Street near Pennsylvania Avenue.

A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle, and police say it was found that the driver, Adam Umbach, 23, of Plymouth, was operating his vehicle while intoxicated.

Suspected marijuana was also located in the vehicle during the investigation, according to the report.
Umbach was given a certified chemical test which reportedly showed him to be over twice the legal limit of alcohol.

Umbach was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was charged with operating with a BAC of .15% or greater, operating a vehicle while intoxicated-endangering and possession of marijuana.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
