On Sunday, Feb. 23, at 3:14 a.m. ET, Marshall County Department deputies were dispatched to the area of U.S. 31 and 14C Road for reports of a domestic disturbance in a vehicle.
Dispatchers were able to maintain live location updates via the cell phone of one of the involved parties in the vehicle. The location of the phone stopped near the intersection of U.S. 31 and 14C Rd., however, no vehicle was found. Officers located the cell phone that belonged to the woman involved in the open field.
Officers then went to an address in the 17000 block of 16C Road and located the two subjects involved.
It was found that both parties had battered one another. Arinda A. Conley, 29, was taken to the Marshall County Jail for domestic battery. Derek J. Conley, 34, was taken to the Marshall County Jail for domestic battery, interfering with reporting of a crime, and possession of marijuana.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
