Vehicle Theft Brings Arrest

On Saturday, Dec. 21 at 10:40 p.m. ET, Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to Pizza Hut for a vehicle theft that had just occurred. The victim advised officers that the vehicle was left running in the parking lot when the theft occurred.

On Sunday, Dec. 22 at 12:45 a.m. ET, Marshall County dispatch received a 911 call from the vehicle owner stating they had located the vehicle still in possession of the suspect. Plymouth Police and Marshall County Deputies responded to the area and attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the vehicle.
A short pursuit occurred before the suspect surrendered himself to law enforcement. The suspect, Raudel Martinez-Huizar, 23, of Plymouth, was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

He was lodged on preliminary charges of vehicle theft, resisting law enforcement, and driving while suspended with a prior conviction.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
