The Price of Gas up in Indiana

Average gasoline prices in Indiana have risen 12.4 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $3.10 per gallon today, according to GasBuddy’s survey of 3,271 stations in Indiana.

Prices in Indiana are 2.3 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and stand 2.5 cents per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has increased 8.1 cents in the last week and stands at $3.606 per gallon.


According to GasBuddy price reports, the cheapest station in Indiana was priced at $2.52 per gallon Sunday, while the most expensive was $3.39/g, a difference of 87.0 cents per gallon.

“It was only a matter of time before the national average began to rise, with oil prices reaching their highest since July last week. Diesel prices have also jumped, driven by cold weather that has boosted heating oil demand,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
