Fire Fighter Brandon Smith was sworn in during the Board of Public Works and Safety meeting held on Monday, January 13, 2025.
Smith is a third generation firefighter – his uncle Brian and father Brett served, along with his grandfather, former Fire Chief Wayne Smith.
Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Gorski administered his oath. Smith’s wife Caitlyn pinned him with his badge.
Fire Chief Steve Holm shared that Smith started as volunteer with Plymouth Fire Department in 2019.
He was added as staff in mid-December; shortly after he became a dad with the birth of his son Bentley.
