Marshall County Auditor Angie Birchmeier has been chosen by the Indiana Auditor’s Association to be a member of the Legislative Committee.

During her tenure as Marshall County Treasurer, Birchmeier also served in this capacity. This allows for an opportunity for our local government to have a voice at the State level.

Birchmeier will be attending the 2025 AIC (Association of Indiana Counties) Legislative Conference to be held in Indianapolis on February 4-5. During this conference, there will be opportunities to meet with various legislators and discuss issues pertaining to auditors. Birchmeier will continue to build relationships with state representatives and senators through her tenure as both Treasurer and now Auditor.

The Auditor’s office is responsible for the financial records of the County. Each year within the first three months, the auditor’s office must complete and submit the Annual Financial Report to the Indiana State Board of Accounts. As an auditor, compliance with State Statutes is imperative.

Once the AFR is completed, it is available for viewing on Indiana’s transparency website Gateway. Any questions, stop by the Auditor’s office located in the Marshall County Building, 112 W. Jefferson Street, Room 205, Plymouth. The regular operating hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and the public is welcome.

Residents are welcome to call 574-935-8555 with any questions or concerns.
