On Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 1:42 p.m. ET, an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department performed a traffic stop on 9A Rd near U.S. 30.
The driver of the vehicle Amy I. Chikar, 48, of Elkhart, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. Chikar was transported to the Marshall County Jail on a preliminary charge of driving while suspended prior.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
