On Jan. 9 at 12:05 a.m. ET, Plymouth Police Department officers responded to 204 W Jackson St. in Plymouth for a report of a domestic disturbance.
Officers made contact with a pregnant woman who appeared to have been battered. Police say witnesses inside the house also confirmed that she had been assaulted.
Police entered the residence and found Kevin J. Wells, 33, hiding in an upstairs bedroom. Wells was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery of a pregnant family member, strangulation, and intimidation.
Wells was given a bond of $1,500.00 and was held on an automatic 24-hour hold due to the charges.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
