Two Injured in Crash

On Monday,​ Dec. 23,​ at 4:50 p.m.,​ Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a two-vehicle collision on U. .30,​ east of State Road 331.

Officers arriving at the scene​ learned the collision occurred between a passenger car and a semi-tractor trailer. Officers found that a westbound 2003 Ford Escort driven by Anthony Clemons Jr,​ 41, of Fort Wayne,​ lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway. The car proceeded through the grass median where it was struck by an eastbound 2007 Kenworth driven by Victor Sotomayor,​ 45, of Chicago Heights,​ IL. The collision brought both vehicles into the center median.

The two occupants in Clemons’ car were transported to a regional hospital with numerous complaints of pain. The driver of the Kenworth was uninjured.

Agencies involved were the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department,​ Bourbon Police Department,​ Bourbon Fire Department,​ Lutheran EMS,​ and Reichert-Knepp ​Towing.
