On Dec. 9, at 3 p.m. ET, a Plymouth Police Department officer was patrolling the area of U.S. 30 and Pioneer Dr. when the officer observed three vehicles that appeared to be bolted together with steel bars in between, traveling east on U.S. 30 at approximately 35 mph.
The vehicles did not have working lights nor did they have license plates. A traffic stop was initiated on these vehicles. Along with this group of vehicles, two more sets of vehicles that were connected with this driver pulled over.
During the investigation of the stop, the registration that was on the three driving vehicles was found to be fictitious, with no insurance, and none of the drivers, Cesy Barrios DeLeon, 31, Raul Castillo Arbreso, 33, or Oscar Madrid Acuta, 37, all of Ft. Wayne, had a valid operator’s license.
The three drivers were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail where they were lodged on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.
The 7 vehicles that were involved were towed.
Suspects are innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
