Two people were arrested on a charge of operator never licensed in two separate incidents.
On Dec. 21 at 3:30 a.m. ET, Plymouth Police Department officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Michigan Road.
Police say it was determined that the driver of the vehicle, Jayson Mendoza-Romero, 19, of Plymouth, was operating the vehicle without ever obtaining a driver’s license.
Mendoza-Romero was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail. He was lodged on a preliminary charge of operating without ever obtaining a license.
On the morning of Dec. 30, at 6 a.m. ET, Plymouth officers were notified that a vehicle was traveling east on State Road 17 from Redwood at approximately 20 MPH in a posted 55 MPH zone.
The driver was later identified as Ramona Acosta-Saldonos, 53, of Plymouth, who was slow to stop for police initially. Acosta-Saldonos was found to have never been issued a driver’s license, according to the report. She was taken into custody for operator never licensed and reckless driving.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
