On Nov. 27, at 7 p.m. ET, witnesses called the Marshall County 911 Dispatch Center to report a reckless driver on US. 31 northbound.
Police observed the vehicle traveling at over 100 mph, weaving in and out of traffic, and passing cars on the shoulder, according to the report. Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop and, after a brief pursuit, were able to apprehend the suspect.
Alyshia Kiser-Burgess, 32, of Indianapolis, was found with four open containers in the vehicle and was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, and reckless driving.
She was transported to the Marshall County Jail and was issued a court date and a bond.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
