Multiple Charges in Arrest

On Dec. 1,​ at 9:20 p.m., Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies were requested to respond to the area of State Road 17 and 10B Road for a report of an altercation with a weapon involved.

The caller advised that a man punched him in the face,​ pointed a gun at his head,​ and then shot at the caller before leaving in a truck traveling southbound on State Road 17 from 10B Road.

A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy located the suspect’s vehicle and conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle in the 9,000 block of Sycamore Road.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 39-year-old John Klinedinst. Klinedinst was suspected of being intoxicated by alcohol and drugs. He was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test. Upon doing so,​ Klinedinst was found to be over twice the legal limit of alcohol, according to the report.

Klinedinst was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked on preliminary charges of intimidation with a deadly weapon,​ criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon,​ operating a vehicle with an BAC of .15 or more,​ operating a vehicle while endangering a person,​ and battery resulting in bodily injury.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
