Drug Arrest Made by Task Force

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Drug Task Force coordinated and executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of Gilbert Lane, in Bremen Wednesday, December 18.

During the warrant service, officers located multiple firearms along with suspected cocaine and marijuana, according to the report.

Ramon Solis, age 40, of Bremen, and Xavier Solis, age 21, of Bremen, were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail.

Ramon Solis was charged with dealing in cocaine as a Level 2 Felony and has no bond. Xavier Solis was charged with maintaining a common nuisance and possession of cocaine, both are Level 6 Felonies. He has a $1,500 cash bond.

Police say the investigation also revealed Ramon Solis is an illegal alien. The case will be forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutors Office for review.

Sheriff Matthew Hassel says the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department takes drug crimes very seriously because, directly and indirectly, they contribute to almost 80 percent of the criminal activity in Marshall County.

The Marshall County Drug Task Force was assisted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Bremen Police Department, NET43, and Indiana State Police.

Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
