Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies answered a call for a two vehicle accident on Monday, Dec. 16 at 7:20 a.m. ET.
Police say Cassandra Atkins of Rochester was traveling north on State Road 17, approaching the curve at Sycamore Road, when her vehicle went left of center. Saady Garcia of Plymouth was traveling south on State Road 17 negotiating the curve at Sycamore Road at this same time.
Atkins struck Garcia, causing Garcia’s vehicle to roll over onto its side, according to the report.
Atkins and a juvenile passenger were transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted by Plymouth Fire and EMS.
