On Tuesday, Dec. 24, at 5:24 p.m., Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a two-vehicle collision on Michigan Road, north of the roundabout of Veteran’s Parkway. The caller advised there were complaints of injury.
It was learned that a northbound 2013 Chevy Equinox, driven by Keegan Silveus, 22, of Plymouth, failed to maintain his lane, which is when he collided with a southbound 2003 Ford Explorer, driven by Andrea Parker, 27, also of Plymouth.
Parker was transported to the Hospital by EMS. While speaking to Silveus, the Officer on the scene could detect the odor of alcohol coming from Silveus who admitted to having consumed alcohol.
Police say Silveus failed standardized field sobriety testing and was transported to a local hospital for a certified test along with jail clearance. The certified test results indicated that Silveus had more than 3 times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood and was transported to the Marshall County Jail, according to the report.
Silveus was booked in on a preliminary misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more.
Agencies involved were the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by Plymouth Fire Department and EMS, and Reichert-Knepp Towing.
