Accident Sends One to the Hospital

On Tuesday,​ Dec. ​24,​ at 5:24 p.m.,​ Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a two-vehicle collision on Michigan Road,​ north of the roundabout of Veteran’s Parkway. The caller advised there were complaints of injury.

It was learned that a northbound 2013 Chevy Equinox,​ driven by Keegan Silveus, 22, of Plymouth,​ failed to maintain his lane,​ which is when he collided with a southbound 2003 Ford Explorer,​ driven by Andrea Parker,​ 27, also of Plymouth.

Parker was transported to the Hospital ​by EMS. While speaking to Silveus,​ the Officer on the scene could detect the odor of alcohol coming from Silveus who admitted to having consumed alcohol.
Police say Silveus ​failed standardized field sobriety testing and was transported to a local hospital for a certified test along with jail clearance. The certified test results indicated that Silveus ​had more than 3 times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood and was transported to the Marshall County Jail, according to the report.


Silveus was booked in on a preliminary misdemeanor charge of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more.​

Agencies involved were the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, assisted by ​Plymouth Fire Department and EMS,​ and Reichert-Knepp Towing.
