Accident Causes Death

An accident has claimed the life of a Bourbon man.

On Dec. 20 at 7:50 a.m. ET, Marshall County Sheriff’s Office deputies were sent to U.S. 30 and Cedar Road for a collision between a Jeep Wrangler and a GMC pickup.

As a result of the crash, the driver of the pickup, Randy Ousley, 46, of Bourbon, was partially ejected from his vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial investigation showed that Vehicle 1 was westbound on U.S. 30 when the driver, Viergela Dolcine, 31, of Columbus, Ohio, apparently lost control and struck Ousley, who was slowed or stopped at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Cedar Rd.

Falling and blowing snow contributed to the collision.

Dolcine and a four-year-old juvenile were each injured, along with three juveniles in Ousley’s vehicle.
The collision is still under investigation, and a report will be forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office after the investigation is completed.
