On Tuesday, Dec. 24, at approximately 5:24 p.m. ET, Marshall County Central Dispatch received a call regarding a two-vehicle collision on Michigan Road, north of the roundabout of Veteran’s Parkway.
The caller advised there were complaints of injury.
Police say it was learned that a northbound 2013 Chevy Equinox, driven by Keegan Silveus, 22, of Plymouth, failed to maintain his lane, which is when he collided with a southbound 2003 Ford Explorer, driven by Andrea Parker, 27, also of Plymouth.
Parker was transported to the Hospital by EMS.
While speaking to Silveus, the officer on the scene could detect the odor of alcohol coming from Silveus and he agreed to having consumed alcohol, according to the report. Police say Silveus failed standardized field sobriety testing and was transported to the Plymouth hospital for a certified test along with jail clearance.
The certified test results reportedly indicated that Silveus had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood and was transported to the Marshall County Jail. Silveus was booked in on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
