Two people were arrested as a result of two separate traffic stops Wednesday, November 14.
At 2:10 a.m. ET, a Plymouth Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop at U.S. 30 and Oak Dr. on a vehicle that was traveling 78 miles per hour in a 50 mph zone.
The driver, Fallou Mbacke, 34, of Chicago, was found to have never received a valid driver’s license, according to the report.
Mbacke was taken into custody, transported to the Marshall County Jail, and booked on a preliminary charge of operator never licensed.
At 4:30 a.m. ET, a Plymouth officer initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling northbound on Michigan Street in the area of Airport Road.
During the stop, police say it was discovered that the female driver, Karen Turcios Martinez, 31, of Plymouth, was operating the vehicle without ever obtaining a driver’s license.
Martinez was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Marshall County Jail, where she was lodged for a preliminary charge of operating a vehicle without ever obtaining a license.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
