On Wednesday, Nov. 6 at 3:15 p.m., Officers with the Plymouth Police Department assisted Plymouth detectives in regard to a man, later identified as Eric Hancz, 40, of New Carlisle, who had stolen from Walmart.
Hancz had set up to sell the stolen item to detectives and met them in the Walmart parking lot. Officers located Hancz and took him into custody for theft, possession of stolen property, driving while suspended with a prior conviction, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and a warrant out of Elkhart County.
He was transported to Marshall County Jail.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
