Plymouth Police Department officers were dispatched to Walmart Saturday, November 9 at 6:52 a.m. ET for a report of two men attempting to steal a bottle of liquor.
Officers arrived on the scene and found two men in the parking lot attempting to leave the area. Joshua Yovanny Vargas Alvarado, 22, of Plymouth, was arrested and charged with public intoxication, shoplifting, contributing alcohol to a minor, and obstruction of justice. Alexis Arias, 20, of Plymouth, is charged with public intoxication, shoplifting, and illegal consumption of an alcoholic beverage.
Both were taken to the Marshall County Jail and issued a court date and bond.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
