A traffic stop was conducted Thursday, November 21 at 1:30 a.m. ET on a speeding vehicle on US 30 near Plymouth-Goshen Trail.
The driver was identified as 24-year-old Brianna Nelson, of Portage. Plymouth K9 Castor assisted on the traffic stop and indicated the presence of narcotics, according to the report.
Police say approximately 100 grams of suspected THC were located. Nelson was also reportedly found to show signs of impairment. A certified blood test was completed before Nelson was taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail, according to the report.
Nelson was lodged pending criminal charges of felony possession of marijuana, misdemeanor operating a vehicle while intoxicated controlled substance, operating a vehicle while intoxicated- endangering, and possession of paraphernalia.
Suspects are considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
